Never seem to see him involved people's matchday squad speculation.

Where the hell is this little fella gonna play for us next season, and how many games will he get? He's still one of our best attacking options, particularly in European games, but he just doesn't fit neatly into any one role I can see us needing filled regularly.

I'd say he'll get a fair few games playing off the front man, but if we get a new striker what then for Luis? A tussle between him and Pennant for RM, with SG having moved back into the centre? He can also play LM don't forget. It's quite difficult to tell what Rafa's plans for Luis are this season, he may turn out to be a kind of attacking utility player for us :D

I think he'll be a Super Sub, coming on as an extra forward when needed to score (Arsenal ;) ). He might start in Europe, where he's been a lot more effective

rafa likes his squad rotation and with luis being able to play in a number of attacking positions then i'm sure he'll play a minimum of 35-40 games in all competitions. pending good cup runs of course!

I agree Polo. A lot of people just seem to have forgotten him. Yes he can be frustrating but his moments of brilliance are worth having him in the team. He is just one of those luxury players who are either on the spot or having a shocker.

I think he and Penannt will be our R options and he will also paly in the hole/upfront from time to time.

Garcia will be used, he's too good a player not to play.

I very much doubt Benitez has forgotten the Little Wizard.

Our Flair player - execept he drives me to distraction at times. However we would be a poorer side without him

Thirded!! Even if he is not a regular starter, he is a fantastic option to have come on off the bench when were struggling to breakdown a stubborn defence and need a different approach. The best thing about Luis, as Rafa would say, is that he provides us with many "possibilities":D

Rafa learnt a lot from his first season here when we were so poor away from home. Hence the acquisitions of players like Crouch, Bellamy and now Pennant, players whom he has seen first hand impress for other clubs in English football. I think we'll see very little of Luis for away games in the league next year, as those are the games when his most frustrating side seems to have most impact (ie, he simply gives the ball away too much). For home games and European games I think he will be used a lot, and rightly so.

Gotta love him :D

His versatility will see him play a lot of games - actually thought he would be one potential surprise exit if we needed to generate cash as his stock would be high in Spain but as he can fill in on the left, right and as second striker, I'm happy to see him stay and contribute to a succesful season

He is a vital member of our squad and he always comes up with the goods in big games.

Luis is a good player and he'll probably get 20 odd games in the withdrawn role or as a right winger.
Hopefully Pennant and the Bellamy will make Luis a little less careless in his passing...

he'll play, im thinking Rafa is going to play him of the bench.

He seems to really make a big impact when he comes off the bench...something that we have missed the last few years.
