    Crouch keen on Newcastle

Liverpool striker Peter Crouch is keen on a move to Newcastle United.
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder has admitted his admiration for the England international and the Evening Chronicle says sources on Merseyside suggest Crouch is aware of United's interest and would jump at the chance to come to Tyneside and form a little-and-large partnership with Oba Martins and eventually Michael Owen.

A source at United also says that the £12m fee that Liverpool are supposed to want for their 25-year-old 6ft 7in striker has been plucked out of the air.

Don't believe this for a second, whilst Crouchy will be frustrated with his lack of playing time lately, he comes across as a determined lad and smart enough he will get his chance soon.
PS Why the fcuk would he want to go to New-****ing-Castle anyway?

So he can get a game to keep his 'England spot'.

While Owen is injured he will keep his England spot pretty much whatever, I get the impression that Mcsharon doesn't think the likes of Johnson and Defoe are good enough and believes his best front paring to be Owen/Crotch with Rooney.

I also reckon he also gives the impression that he really enjoys playing for Liverpool and will be willing to bide his time and be part of a successful squad.

I agree with your sentiments. I'm still fed up with his recent poor performances and suspect that Rafa and Pako are as well.

Other bigger clubs would like Crouch ie Spurs

Is Crouch better than Keane and Berbatov - no way.

Is Crouch better than Defoe and Mido - on curent form - no way.

He's a far better player than Mido.

Crouch will eventually find his level which is Newcastle, Spurs or even Everton. That about sums him up (i.e. not good enough for LFC). I hope Rafa has something up his sleeve on this one.

I wouldn't be surprised to him go to Villa, don't know why, just a feeling might put a bet on.

                        I didn't say he wasn't.

I said that on current form, even Mido was playing better which is saying something.

Anyway, fair dos to Crouch today. He's had a pretty good first half against Bolton so let's hope he gets some of his form back over the coming weeks.

I can't see how people can say he's playing poorly when he's only played the equivalent of just under 3 games since the 22/11.

Mate, Mido's been ****e recently, when on form i don't think he's a bad aul player but overall Crouch is the better player imo.

His goal today (his tenth of the season) shows how much some of you know.
