For those who aren't aware - today's the day when Liverpool must prove that they can fund the stadium or lose

I`ve given up on this. If it happends it happends.
But I would be nice if we could just increase Anfield, but that seems impossible (Or at least Zico says so)

Does anyone actually nkow why we cant build up on Anfield?

I cant see Liverpool City Council being too harsh on planning permission considering the state of the neightbourhood.

Is it simply logisitcs of the stadium?

You have to take down the existing stands, so there would be a great loss of income for one or two years.

I don`t know anything about Twickenham, but do they have matches there every week?

No, they have pretty regular things on but they are usually only conferences ~20,000 people. I can see it would be a problem for us to do the stadium bit by bit but surely we could get a stand done in the summer if we put our minds to it.

so it sounds like we`ve got another extension then (2 more months)..
the panel sufficiently convinced that things are beiing lined up
but still we need 6-8 weeks to properly convince
