    Amelia extends Livorno deal.

There will be no January transfer for Marco Amelia after he signed a new Livorno contract until 2011.

The goalkeeper’s previous agreement was due to expire in June and the world champion had been recently associated with a move to Milan, who are actively searching for a new man between the sticks.

Amelia was also a reported target for Liverpool amongst other clubs, but Amaranto President Aldo Spinelli has rewarded the shot-stopper for his expert performances with a new and improved deal.

The agreement was penned on Tuesday night which has brought all of the transfer rumours surrounding him to a temporary stop.

The 24-year-old started his career in the Roma youth team and landed at Livorno in 2001 on a loan deal.

Spinelli’s club then bought the goalkeeper outright in 2004 after he became a key player for the Tuscan minnows.

Amelia is having another fine campaign and grabbed the headlines in November when he scored a dramatic late goal against Partizan Belgrade that kept Livorno’s UEFA Cup campaign alive.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
