Defence:
Play Agger we have a bit more pace at the back however we don't quite have that player who can dominate in the air play Hyypia we lose that pace but we have a real aerial presence defensively
(this assuming Carra is our 1st choice centre back which he is)
Midfield:
Play Gerrard on the right we lose his presence and forward running from the middle of the park, play him in the centre and we more than likely have to drop either Alonso or Sissoko and in doing so we lose Alonso's passing range, ability to control the tempo or Sissoko's energy and engine.
Forwards:
As for upfront, play Kuyt with Crouch, you have little pace to stretch teams, however play ellamy you have the pace but we lose ther aerial presence and hold up play of Crouch in particular whom would probably make way, not forgetting Fowler either who probably needs to play with Bellamy but then you're leaving out Crouch and Kuyt.
