On the day we won the first part of the treble

Arsenal lost 6-1 at Old Trafford. I can imagine in this internet world they would be deemed a disgrace, a million years away from the top yet...15 months later they were champions

I remember that game well. Yorke scored on half time to make it 5 or 6

          Oh how I laughed.

I was at the pub with my Manc supporting "friend".

Needless to say, the friendship was on borrowed time.

I guess these results are a one off.

I remember Arsenal getting thumped 6-2 at home against Man United in a league cup tie in the early 1990's.

The important thing is that these results don't continue and we get it out of our system as soon as possible.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Arsene Wenger was naturally very disappointed with the 6-1 thumping at Old Trafford.

A Dwight Yorke hat-trick along with goals from Roy Keane, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Teddy Sheringham inspired Man Utd to victory.

Arsenal, who scored a fine consolation through Thierry Henry, were in total disarray throughout.

Wenger admitted his team were "naive at the back" and said: "Everything went wrong.

"In the first half we gave too much space away and too much room individually to players.

"The first and second goals were jokes. Defensively what we did is really poor - to be 5-1 down in the first half was down to a poor defensive performance."
"The definition of insanity is not running into the same wall again and again; it's expecting a different result every time you do it."
