i enjoyed that match today and it was nice to see pennant do well setting up the second goal and it was also nice to see that bit of skill from luis for the first goal.

all in all a decent afternoons work out.

we maust have had some injurys for pepe to be plaing in CM amd robbie coming back on. lets hope the injuries are just knocks and garcia and aurellio were taken off as a precaution.

jack hobbs needs some work though! i felt sorry for him.

the next two warm up matches will giver better indications
there were clear contrasts in terms of energy & skill out there today
when the world cup players link up i think the team will gel together nicely

new players: pennant & bellamy impressed; young players: anderson again

a nice kick up the harris for the squad as we get closer to the community sheild

it was a nothing game. ofcourse i would rather have won than lost but it was a good work out. and i'd rather see young players like hobbs make mistakes in a game like that when it doesn't matter. he'll learn from that today.

the friendlies have been set up to get harder
but i think the expectation was the mixture of players today
would still be able to stroll through the game

we had chances to score more
but too often the play (especially the defending) was laclustre
i think that will be the last game we are so lax/relaxed

gonzales seems to be trying too hard
good in terms of effort & application
but i hope his 1st goal will let him settle
so that his confidence in dribbling past defenders
supplements his pace & work rate

thought we did ok - have to remeber that quite a few of the lads are young - anderson, hobbs etc and new signings so the communication and knowledge of game between the players wont be as good as it will be - lots of positives to be taken

here`s hoping fabio`s injury is a matter of days than weeks
i`m glad rafa`s been supportive in public of hobbs
as it`s important he`s not too worried by it
make a mistake in defence & it has greater consequences
but hobbs wasn`t alone in making mistakes
& im sure rafa will have had a few guiding words with the team afterwards
probably not the same words he had for the media ;)
