ARGENTINA! Get in there, fantastic choice by the young lad. He couldn't even speak French, for those who don't know who he is he plays for Real Madrid and looks a real talent. He was born is France as his dad was playing for Brest at the time and moved back to Argentina when he was 10 months old.

Sounds like he has no allegiance to France whatsoever, so it's a no-brainer

Except he was born there and one of his parents was French.

Apart from that, no allegiance whatsoever :haha:

No both his parents are Argentinian as is his brother and the rest of his family.

OK, misread the bit about his dad. Thought it read "he was born in France as was his dad".

My mistake :handshake:

Still I do believe if you are born in a certain country, that should be where your allegiance lies.

No I feel that you can play for the country of your parents or the country you were stayed in longest. I have to say if I was a top footballer I might play for England as I moved down here at 6 months and have never lived in scotland since. My bro who was nearly 3 when we moved counts himself as english.

I'm ambivalent having no knowledge of his existance before reading this thread.

I hate the French just as much as the Argies though*.

he's never before publicly said witch he favored, but he has declined up til now to play for both nations even the under 20 teams
