'Lucas Neill is hobbling off. The Aussie defender has only just come back after he was injured on his debut and now he seems to have an ankle injury. He is fuming - as is manager Alan Curbishley.'

It looks likely that he'll be triggering his get out clause soon.

I was dissapointed with our loss today but the West Ham fans must be gutted. They lost at home to a relegation rival. Things don't look good for them.

I wonder if Eggurt Magnusson has the same shopping list the he happened to show Lucash Neill?!:haha:

I went to Upton Park today (only because me mate had a spare ticket!!), and they were shocking, couldn't put two passes together. Nigel Quashie was actually their best player in the first half too so that tells you everything!!!

Tevez came on at half time, and hell, that boy is a class above. If we could swing a move for him then I'd be happy - he needs to be at a top club.

Oh yeah, and West Ham fans are fuckin horrible

LONDON, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Lucas Neill's injury-hit start to his West Ham United career continued when the Australia captain damaged knee ligaments against Watford on Saturday.

'He has twisted his medial ligaments,' West Ham manager Alan Curbishley told Sky Sports after the 1-0 defeat by their Premier League relegation rivals at Upton Park.

The 28-year-old defender, who now faces several weeks on the sidelines, also hobbled off on his West Ham debut in the FA Cup fourth-round loss to Watford two weeks ago.

He joined the east London club from Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee last month.

Yeah i was gutted to hear that too. My, how well things are going for him at the moment. Still, I doubt he cares seeing as he's picking up 70 grand a week, which is all that matters to the twat.

Personally, ignoring his decision to join West Ham instead of us, I admire his bravery for starting the match and trying to play on with an obviously bad injury.

I'd play with one leg broken, one tit swollen and 3 teeth knocked out for 70 grand per week. What Lucas Neill did is nothing...

Bitter? I'm delighted we didn't sign him. He's an average premiership player who thinks he's better than he is - but didn't have the bottle to join a big club and compete for a place in the starting XI.

So if you wanna praise his bravery then please - be my guest.

Oh and let's not forget his get out clause shall we? If West Ham go down - he'll be outta there like a shot.

Again - if this is the sort of attitude which you applaud then please be my guest.

Still wanna 'big him up'?

Great football fans you aren't you all, wishing injury on a player just because he didn't sign for us WTF?

Pathetic, have a word with yourselves.

Players are entitled to make choices, they don't HAVE to sign for us.

Just don't like hearing elitist bullshit from fans, there's no reason to dislike a player just cause he decides not to join us, we aren;t the only club in the world, he made the choice for himself, whether it was for money or not, doesn't matter.

Just have some respect, he made his choice, fair enough, like Rafa said, maybe he wasn't the right player for us, live and let live, surely its a bit low stooping to celebrate an average player who didn't join us getting injured, I mean, c'mon:shake: ?

Perhaps my 43 years of supporting Liverpool through thick and thin across Europe and personal tragedy has given me a false sense of delusion that our fans were above all this bitterness and wishing other teams' players a serious injury regardless of the circumstances?

I've done the rounds myself mate - Heysel and Hillsborough etc so spare me the lecture.

I dont suppose you checked to see when Eto'o was due back when we drew Barca in the CL by any chance? You know - hoping his injury would keep him until after we'd played them?
And I don't suppose you'd smile inwardly if Ronaldinho tweaked his hamstring the week before they're due to play us either?

Football fans the world over hope that other teams players are out injured so just get over it. I mean - Neill's situation is hardly life threatening.
