Good looking boy.

Will be missed when it comes to promoting youth into the 'Good Looking XI'...

Very strange that fees involved are so low. Not that he should command megabucks, of course, but I anticipated receiving around £2m for him and having the option to buy him back for around the same fee? Still, not that it matters particularly - buying him back for around £400,000, if he does the business in Spain, would be a steal.

Apparently we can only invoke the buy-back option in the 2nd or 3rd year of his five year contract?

True.

I dont hold out much hope for Hobbs, Anderson, Paletta, Hamill and co.

All distinctly average looking fellas.

Gonzales is a solid addition though.

Yes, Gonzo ups the 'boy band' quota part of the sqaud very nicely.

He's all grease, and chip fat that boy.

Pennant is dreadfully chav. The hair, the wristbands, those earrings, the whitesocks OVER his red ones. All terrible.

Pennant needs to sort out his boots too - he was slipping all over the place against Zurich.

Anderson and Paletta will be very good and we really dont know about Hobbs yet he had a terrible first game but was better in the second, he is still very good but the signs are there that he learns from his mistakes.

out of all the youngsters Paletta has impressed me the most. Your right think Anderson will make it to. Thing is Hobbs is still a coupleof yrs younger than both these

from the beeb (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/5160802.stm)

Primera Liga side Deportivo La Coruna have signed Spanish defender Antonio Barragan from Liverpool in a deal worth 1m euros (£680,000).

The Reds reserved the right to buy back the player after the second or third year for 700,000 euros (£475,000).

He is very good probably will feature more than the rest of the young ones this year unless Palletta`s crazy back pass was a once off and he breaks into the first team this season, but Anderson is not really from our youth set up as we just bought him from Hull, but it is about time the academy started to produce first team players

TBH what has Barragan really done? Not surprised the fees are so "low" considering he never played in the first team!

Well that's what I meant by "he shouldn't command megabucks", but the suggested fees that were mooted when news of the deal with Depor first broke were much higher than they turned out.

As I said though, it's not really a problem given that we can buy him back for an absolute pittance if we so desire.

Good point.

We've always had local players to provide us with that 'star' ammunition.

Steve McManaman and Robbie Fowler were the driving forces behind the 90's team.

Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher have been similiarly important.

You wonder, how Liverpool would have fared without those local players...its a scary thought...

We bought him for 250k a year ago, so we sold him for 3 times that after 1 year and we can buy him back for 500k in 2 years time. That's Great business. If he makes it we will get him for a Free 750-500= 250 (What we paid for him initially) We need more deals like this :)
