I thought he was only going to Charlton on loan but it looks as if he is going in a permanent transfer!

I'm glad to see that the club are looking to move players on instead of just settling for loan deals.

I sincerely hope he does well though if the deal goes through. He is a Champions League winner after all. :)

Sky Sports are reporting it. Him along with Amdy Faye at Newcastle.

I don't know what the policy is here about posting from other websites.

I saw his first ever game for the reserves and he looked brilliant , unfortunately he has never really progressed and in recent times has probably started to go backwards , a good move for all concerned.

Wow! Never thought that was possible! Great piece of news...

Wish the best for Traore...Tried his best but way too error-prone. Another one of those players with enormous "potential", sadly it was never fulfilled with us. Hopefully, he'll do a "Diouf" at Charlton and cement a regular place there...

Fee of £2m being alleged. With the Barragan deal sorted and as soon as this is done and dusted I think Kuyt will be flying in to sign on the dotted line.

If that's true, fantastic. We actually get decent money for a fringe player.

I'll never forget the emmotions you gave me everytime I saw your name on a starting eleven :p

Good luck at Addicks CL-winner Djimi Traore :handshake:

I've been away for a bit but do we get Kirkland money for Christmas or is it next summer. Anyone got any ideas on how much it is as well?

What Kirkland money?

He has joined Wigan on loan for a 6 month period.

I'm not quite sure what you mean...

Welcome to est1892 btw!

Kirkland and Cisse are both year long loans with an option to buy at the end I believe.

I genuinely wish Traore all the beat if this move does happen, he always seemed to have the atributes physically but lapses in concentration and poor passing just meant he was never going to quite make it at LFC. He reminds me a lot of Titus Bramble, and at a club who can afford to give him regular starts at centre-back he might still develop into a good player in that position.

Good luck Djimi and thanks for your efforts :handshake:

It's a six month loan for Chris Kirkland.

God damn there's always a smart arse :haha: :handshake:

Ok, its a six month load with an option to buy, so conceivably we'd get money at Christmas if Kirkland can refrain from droping anymore ironing boards that is......

ooops, didn't edit your post above Univ btw, just hit the wrong button
