View Full Version : Rafa's style of play....
We all know that Rafa likes to play "quick passing" football and has been striving for that since he got here.
Now he has gone one step further by signing a few players with an abundance of pace.
He is mixing the spanish and English styles of play together and i for one can only see success in the near future.
I can see us ripping the so called "lesser teams" apart at Anfield this season, something we havn't done for years.

Keep up the good work Rafa and let the good times roll.

Note to all;
If you disagree with even a tiny smidgeon of this thread, you are leaving yourself open to being called a "Rafa-hater", a "shite supporter", a poster "who hates Liverpool players" and a "negative cnut".
Just a warning.

Lucky it's not a very bad point though. I agree with the most important statement which is that Rafa has realised how important pace is in the Premiership and has tried to make signings this year that would improve that part of our game.

It would have been nice if one or more of the coaching or playing staff had pointed this out to him a bit earlier.
Alternatively, he could have got hold of me on the interweb, and I would have set him straight.

Funny thing is that the original poster is from Koptalk.
It has to be Pikeser.

and you could have pointed the errors of his ways in playing crouch as well :shake:

Well, I deliberately avoided putting it that way because of the reasons Ryan mentioned.
Plus, I didn't want people to realise that StrawberryBlonde83 (Nikeser) was actually being very critical of Rafa.

Damn you Rosco, you beat me to it!
I suspect Rafa thought that FSP and Cisse would provide the pace we needed. Sadly neither has quite managed to harness their speed into being a top class player.
Other than when he bought in Morientes I can't see when he has bought in a player when I would rather he simply added pace to the team. To be fair I thought Morientes was a great addition at the time. I thought he would give us the creativity we needed up front more consistantly the Garcia. In retrospect though £6m could have added a much needed pacy striker.

How exactly?
You've also lost me with this "nic-name" you've given me.

why is everyone who starts a thread on here getting jumped on? a lad posted that he bumped into rick parry at a airport and got the same treatment. Its becoming a recurring theme now and needs sorting before the site starts losing members because of it

That Parry thread was brilliant. I think you're over-reacting.

And it's widely recognized by modern anthropology that the normal conventions which govern society don't apply to Nikeser.
Nikeser is Koptalk's ubertard.

Rafa is the best thing to happen to Liverpool in a VERY long time.

I was joking Nikeser, the whole thing is a joke which has passed you and Mr. Cooper by.
I was just suggesting that your assertion that we're buying a lot of pacey players this summer could be construed as a criticism of Rafa's failure to do so over recent years.
Hahahaha. Yeah, right nikeser.
