Just, though his looks are hampered somewhat by the absense of a neck to support his massive heed.

Nah, he looks like he's swallowed a nest of angy wasps. Plus the lack of a visible neck may put off some people...although it means he can't get a spammy off some cardiff slapper next time he is out there....

Robert is the best looking of them, not the best but has got a certain appeal.

Christ yeah, well the Mancs are giving us a run for our money.. How daft are they eh? A combined £42m for Rooney and Saha when they could have gone for bargain trolls like Crouch and Bellamy.

what appeal is that ian? the fact that he looks like a large rat and can sniff chees from a mile away? :chunks:

We don't have to have the ugliest strike force though Mark if we play Gonzalez or Kewell as support striker. We could put that on the front of Heat, Just17, Take a Break et al, enticing the ladies to Anfield under false pretenses, and then wheel out Crouch & Bellamy...

mark1975
07-08-06, 04:54 PM
I think it's time Luis became a 'striker' just to balance things out, he's gorg, though Ryan set his sights on him before ANYONE ;)

I dunno if it's such a bad thing mate, sacrificing a few of the fairer sex, after all, the're all Lacoste tracky clad, orange 'sunbed tanned', gravel gobs.

We still have Pepe, JAR, Xabi, Gonzales, Gerrard, Garcia etc though don't we so that'll do for me

Ooooh I just hanker to hear the sound of a deep scouse accent on a girl again, you just don't get it here in Leeds..."ALRIIIIIIIGHHHT LA, GIZ A GO ON DAT SPLIFFFF DER"

I dunno, I'd gladly keep him at right-mid so long as it demotes Jermaine 'The chav Lionel Richie' Pennant out of the good looking XI.

I think (hope) there's always a place for Luis.. Do you reckon his chances will be more limited?

Away to the likes of Bolton, I can't see him figuring.

At homes against the better sides; Chelsea, United, etc, and in the Champions League - I'd expect to start every single time.

The amount of 'big game' goals he gets despite not really figuring that often is astonishing, and indispensable.

mark1975
07-08-06, 05:11 PM
Yeah very true, he and Gerrard seem to be the main two capable of that bit of magic, I hope Gonzalez, Aurelio or even Bellamy can offer that 'something' occasionally too...

I'm all for having pug-uglies. Our greatest eras were staffed by such hideous trolls as Tommy Smith, Phil Thomson, David Fairclough, Ian Rush etc.

The uglier the better IMHO.

mark1975
07-08-06, 05:21 PM
Yeah, maybe we're moving away from this 'too nice' thing now, the likes of Morientes for one.. bad boys and trolls are the future! Shame the likes of Crouch are not of the same quality of a Rush or a Fairclough.. :(

Carra is very much the new Tommy Smith though, maybe not as agressive, but almost as ugly.

Mumsafan
07-08-06, 05:23 PM
Carra is quite sexy in a "bit of rough" type of way

Yeah maybe I was a bit harsh on Jamie there, I'm sure he'd have a fair few ladies weak at the knees, well, until he opened his squeeky gob anyway ;)

Tom

I'd say that crouch was equal to Fairclough in the "god, he looks bizzare" catagory. :)

Most men can't work out what women don't like, I can't see them managing to work out just what it is we do like.

And, no, it doesn't have anything to do with the fact we change our minds every now and again. ;)
