Robbie was jogging round the pitch with the physio, still not fully fit. He stops, shakes McClaren's hand and goes 'Alright Steve, listen I wont be right for the friendlies, but I will be sound for the qualifiers' - McClaren didn't know what the f*** to say or do, just stood there looking dopey! Robbie just trotted off.

:D

so do you suppose Robbie was being serious? or just that famous scouse wit?

well done god.

given a decent fitness level and owen being long term injured, why not pair god and rooney together for the qualifiers.

Deadly earnest old scout; chap's an absolute bally legend at association football, plus he has the keen native scouse wit doncherknow.

I think its all gone to Robbies head , on another forum he is quoted as saying he is bigger than the Beatles.

Eh? You mean the Diao one? If so, that's a couple of weeks old. I actually feel slightly sorry for Diao, even if he was Houllier's single worst signing. :(

Ah well.

Still.. another classic Robbie comeback... (although the last one got him kicked out of the club!)

Robbie's a true legend! Well done God! How can you not have a high-on-life team spirit when he's around!

LMAO! Are there pictures of McLaren's face moments after Robbie told him that? I'm shure I'd LMAO if I'd see it! :haha:

Please no - this is the sort of stuff I came on here to avoid on Koptalk. Let's face it, Fowler's way past playing international football. Even when he was in his prime he never really performed for England.

I don't understand how Fowler can be such a witty person and yet publish such a boring autobiography.

Ghost writer. A boring one at that :)

not sure how much he wrote!! Scouse wit is very much off the cuff as well...difficult to convert to the written word

Aye, but I thought he might go through it and relate some funny stories.

For example, if that McClaren story's in the next addition (:)) it'll be the best thing in there.

The ghost writer was David Maddock and should be shot for the rubbish he wrote in that Biography - dreadfully written and boring to boot.

I was quite shocked.

How could my memories of his life be so much more entertaining than his own?

It was the first and will probably be the last footballer 'auto'biography I'll ever buy.

I couldn't believe how abysmally written it was.
