Seeing as how I am stuck watching this game (satellite provider not carrying LFC) thought I would give an update. Pirlo scored a nice arching header over Rensing (who has played well BTW) to put the Italians 1 - 0 up at the 40' mark. Milan are really applying the pressure, and BM have been poor going forward.

Aye, and just missed a golden opportunity from about 7 yards out. Milan are all over them, but have missed in total, 3 great chances. In fairness, Rensing has been up to the task tonight.

Bayern draw level at the 77' mark. Cross in, scramble for ball sees van buyten (spp?) put it in from about 6 yards out. BM do not deserve to be level. The midfield of AC Milan dictated much of the play throughout this game, displaying good ball movement, and closing down the BM attackers. Even when BM could advance the ball they were unable to sustain any pressure. Those 3 misses looming large now. . .

Kaka from the spot makes it 2 - 1. The call was terrible, however, as the tackle was clean. There was a worse tackle earlier, and the ref declined to give that spot kick. Poor officiating

Wow !! With seconds left, Van Buyten scores his second of the night to draw BM level. Another cross in which sees the ball bouncing through the penalty area. Milan need to learn to tidy up on those crosses. Game ends 2 - 2.
