Sorry if this has been posted.

From the BBC, looks like the perennial fuckwits are about to wade in with yet another massive bid and up the price of our primary target. How can the barcodes spend so much for so little?

Wouldn't mind a bid for Martins though, he's a player I admire.

Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder is still considering whether to move for £10m-rated Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt.

Roeder watched the 25-year-old in action in Amsterdam on Sunday and told Newcastle's website: ""He played well.

"I did not see any reason why we should not go and watch him again. We will be studying him again at the weekend as we are two or three other strikers.

"But that does not mean we are going to be bidding for him, or that he is coming here."

Feyenoord's valuation of Kuyt could prove a stumbling block - and Roeder may be forced to look at alternatives.

Those on his list include Obafemi Martins, who has handed in a transfer request at Inter Milan.

And Roeder said: "Martins is a good player. He is different - very quick and strong."

There's something about Glenn Roeder that I really dislike.

I think it's his turkey-like head, and bow-legs.

He wont go there unless we have withdrawn our interest

Or unless Newcastle offer more money.

Once upon a time, there was a boy called Michael, from the North West of England, locked away in a castle in the heart of Spain...

I suppose it depends on what kind of motivation Kuyt has - if he is after a huge pay-check, much less pressure, and the chance of not winning many trophies then Newcastle is your place.

If he wants to seriously challenge for titles and trophies and get paid an excellent wage then LFC is your place.

Lyon offerred more money for Baros than Villa

Monaco or was it Lyon again who offerred more money to Madrid for morientes yet we signed him:D

So Newcastle bidding a higher price doesnt guarantee anything if the player wants to join another club

From what I have heard his agent has been asking for around £30 K a week in wages for Kuyt

Doesnt sound like somebody being a moneygrabber

Pretty sure Kuyt has said he wants to play Champs Lge football so that rules out the Geordies + is the reason why we wont be signing him til we are confirmed as been in the group stages.

I seem to remember that one of the reasons why Garcia joined was because we tripled or quadruples his wages at the time - seem to remember he's on £39k a week.

I just love the whole tone of the article - as if it was a given that Kuyt is Newcastle's if Roeder deigns him "worthy". Fuck off.

crouch was on £6000 a week had his wage halved to £3000 when they got relegated and he is on 30k now.....from what i have been told.
