Poor bastards. Looks like Gretna's "European" adventure is all but over. They're getting hammered 5-1 in the first leg of their qualifier over Derry.
Fcuk Gretna.
Get in there Derry!
Anyone seen the goals? FUCK me!! Three or four right screamers. They're showing them on SSN...well worth a look.
Yeah feel for Gretna.
(London)Derry are half way through their season though.

Why add the 'London' Bob?
It was in jest. They are from Londonderry, yet call themselves, "Derry".
A political thing ;)

I'm aware of this. I just found it unnecessary.

Possibly, though i am bitter and like i said - it was in jest.

Am I not right in saying that they are from the city of Derry and therefore are called Derry City?

Watched the game in the local O'Irish pub in Liverpool, I'm from County Derry so technically its my local side and it was a fantastic result. Get to a few games when visiting home.
Sky Sports News is constantly showing the goals as 2 of them were Steven Gerrardesque.

You are 100% right Jack.
Don't listen to Rob, there's no such place as 'Londonderry'.

Thought as much :D
100% - yet another fallacy Ryan.
Like it or not the city is currently officially named Londonderry according to the city's Royal Charter and usually appear as such on maps.

A few years back I had to do one of these course where it's team building malarkey crap, anyway, we had to assess the bids from three cities for a certain event. I can't remember the other 2 but one was Derry. I was absolutely gobsmacked when the rest of my group (about 7 people) all said "Where's that? Never heard of it!".

Mate i live in Scotland, and couldn't care less. I'm well aware of what the 'council' is called however that is the name of the district and not the actual city :whatever: And if you'd cared enough to have read that link then you'd be aware of this.
Anyway this is my last comment on the matter as the original 'digg' was in jest as I mentioned earlier, and i do not want to become embroiled in a long, boring political debate. Nor did i want to offend our nationalist friends. I thank you.

Were they all too young to have heard of the Undertones?

Some of the most fanatical "kick the pope" loyalists are from Scotland.
"Living" there doesn't cut you much slack.
Your comment was deliberately provocative - so here we are.
I'd have more respect for you if you were from Northern Ireland and/or felt strongly about the name.
He is from Northern Ireland. :D
