he was a legend.

I loved watching him play.

Is it me, or are there none of these types playing anymore, guys that you would watch, even if you hated the team they play for. Just purely for the skill that they will inevitably display.

Zola, Ginola, Juninho (first spell at Borough), Poyet etc etc.

I used to love watching these guys play....they made football fun.

Add Henry to that list and thats probably it. The premier league has lost alot over the past five years. Tevez has recently started to show what he is made of too. Hopefully he stays in the league..preferably with us.

I rarely can be bothered to sit and watch teams that i dont support now...purely for the fact that none of the players on show can do the types of things those players we mentioned could. Its become quite boring to watch,

I used to watch Tottenham, Leeds, Newcastle, West ham.....Chelsea, all the time. Now however, unless there is something riding on the game..i cant be bothered.

bring back the characters i say. We have very few left.

.... thanks for that, Bergkamp was a complete legend - easily my favourite player not wearing a LFC shirt of his time, was gutted when he signed for Arsenal, would have loved to have seen him in our shirt. Consumate professional, no fuked up baggage, immense touch and vision - and an ever so slightly off center inability to fly :respect: .

same here, until the salute he was a classy player and the youtube clips brought back some great memories. That Volley -v- Wimbledon, wow.

Bergkamp WAS my favourite player.

I didnt care that he played for Arsenal, he was pure class, and i loved watching him play. Was there anyone with a better first touch than him??
