The one man team lose their one man! Ha! Twats.

Breaking news on the BBC ticker. Undoubtedly a blow for them, making a good start for us even more essential. They should beat Charlton and Watford without them, but the Spurs game will be very difficult for them.

Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes have both had their appeals against three-match bans rejected by the Football Assocation.

The pair were dismissed for violent conduct by Dutch referee Ruud Bossen against Porto during the Amsterdam friendly tournament on 4 August.

The ban starts on 23 August, allowing Rooney and Scholes to play in United's opening league game against Fulham.

But they will ineligible for the games against Charlton, Watford and Spurs.

i know he is an absolute scum bag and so on - but i do think the F.A. have been very unfair on him and i think he's dead right to threaten the reduction of his off-field activities (visits to granny prostitutes excluded). he's a total scape goat, it wasn't a red card and the f.a. should stick by him.

\No idea why the FA didn't pull Rooney's suspension. Accidental. I'd be seething if we lost one of ours to that. Scholes' is deserved though

Twas a friendly tourno, they shouldn't have been banned for competitive games unless it was something very serious IMO

I love it mind :D
