    1 more name to arrive

with krompkamp reportedly on his way out, rafa will defo get a direct replacement, otherwise we are exposed in that position

as groucho said phillip degen has been mentioned

id like to see us go for zebina on loan

or even better use our CL money (touch wood) to go and get alves

but i think one more will still come in if he leaves

I hope he doesn't go for Alves. I've had it with that transfer nightmare.
Still, agree that we'll probably go for at least one more signing though. Wasn't there talk on signing Nabil El Zhar from Saint Etienne?

I agree that we will need to replace him Fagan, however it kind of goes against the theory that we need to generate money through sales to fund the Kuyt deal if we then have to spend money to replace the outgoing squad players do you not think?

PSV are in for him according to a few media reports for 1.5Mill...he's apparently already had talks with both Feyenoord and PSV in the last week.

If Kromkamp would be leaving, why we would have played him yesterday in meaningless friendly match and risk him get injured?

maybe in some wild hair-brained scheme to keep him match fit?

Is it only me that thinks that £1,5M is low for dutch international. He might not be a superb player, but surely woth more than that.

But if we would be sellling him why we would have to worry about his match fitness?

Yes, but what club will pay more than £1,5M for him?

I don't think he'll bring in a replacement for Kromkamp if he does indeed leave, not as a 'short term stopgap' anyway.

We can move Carragher across to RB IF Finnan gets injured and bring Pauletta or Agger in short term. Its not as bad as 12 months ago when the cover was Djimi Traore, we can deal fine with just Finnan IMO.
