Pennant over Beckham

Do you think Pennant can replace Beckham in England national team or will McLaren overlook him and pick someone else (Shaun Wrong-Phillipps, i guess)?

I certainly think Pennant has got a potencial to become England winger, especially now that he is @ Liverpool! Would love to see him down the flanks when the next England match is around... :handshake:

Aaron Lennon seems to be flavour of the month when StevieG isn't playing there.

I believe effectively there are at the moment 3 players that McLaren will use for the right side:

1) Stevie G
2) Lennon
3) SWP

Pennant and Beckham need to try and shift those guys out of them positions, and while SWP might be on shaky ground (with him still not playing at Chelski) I can't see Gerrard and Lennon being shifted, unless they pick up an injury.
