The dirty dog has pretty much bought an entire first XI, so he really is going to be under some pressure if things dont go well

Saw a simulation of their possible stareting 11 the other day. It looks ****e. Add that to the fact that they are all strangers and they will have a sseason of struggling IMO.

Of course, that was only one of many starting line ups. It was full of foreigners.

I was just reading a quote from the Swede, he has bought most of these players "a la Theo Walcott" he hasnt seen the majority of them play, he has just been watching videos of them.

It will end in tears for citeh with the Thai and the Swede in charge

I have a feeling that could be right.

It's quite strange. There can't have been much scouting done on any of the players he has signed. Which might be fine in some circumstances - sometimes it's probably reasonable to take a chance on a player - but surely not after you've just taken over a team, and for so much money?

Going to the internet and spouting ill-informed opinions about players after watching them for 5 minutes is one thing; signing them up for real money is another.

I actually think City will do very well this year and Ericsson has potentially made some very good signings.

The boy Bianchi scored 18 goals in Seria A last term which is a great return for any player, plus already bagged a few in preseason. Bojinov is highly rated and been scouted by a lot of top teams (including us) since his Lecce days, although was apparently poor for Juve last year. Petrov is a very good player and dangerous from set pieces. Geovanni was tipped to be a star in his Barca days and Elano is a Brazilian international. Considering his spending hasn’t stopped I think City will surprise a lot of people this year. I think people are too quick to write Ericsson and City off because of his England management.

They definitely won’t struggle for goals again this year and I think they’ll be a very entertaining team to watch.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Have you ever seen a team managed by Eriksson before?

And I am assuming that you have, and wouldn’t be offering a biased opinion influenced purely by his management of a grossly overrated national team?

So tell me, just what formation did Goteborg employ under Sven? How did the Benfica team that were pretty successful play? What did he do at Lazio that lacked entertainment?

In his last three years at Lazio, they were the second highest goal scorers in Serie A. I for one find goals entertaining.

Eriksson feels he has unfinished business in England, coupled with the fact he was brought to City to end their goal drought leads me to believe that City WILL be good to watch this year. I don’t think Bojinov, Bianchi, Petrov, Geovanni and Elano were bought with defence in mind, especially the two Brazilians.
