Was wondering where he was on"Goals on Sunday" cause that Claire Tom was on with Kammy....just not the same when Kammy patted Rob on the knee a million times during the show......andyways i wiki'd him and now i find out he's left Skysports :(...........i enjoyed him on Skysports always was a laugh
He's now with Showtime Arabia
In June 2007 McCaffrey was signed up by Showtime Arabia to present their English Premiership coverage, which will begin at the start of the 2007/08 season, this lead to McCaffrey leaving his role on Goals on Sunday.
He seems to get a lot of stick on here but I always liked him. Genuinely enthusiastic about the game.

I thought was really good and had a fantastic chemistry (not in a Fredo way) with Kammy. I remember him on You're on Sky Sports, he was better than the bore that comes on now, Gary Newbon.
Shame to see him go. If Sky wanted to put some candy on Goals on Sunday, they are better off putting on Kirsty Gallagher

Thats were they are based in the Media Centre in Dubai, but they have analyst in the studio as well i was thinking that he was based in London because i cant see them flying in analysts like Merson,Shearer to Dubai every saturday and sunday??

I really liked Rob myself. You could see he enjoyed his work and loved football.
A real loss to skysports, himself and kammy made a great team.

That would be Shebby Singh youre referring to i think, both him and his sidekick Paul Masefield on ESPN are without a shadow of a doubt the worst pundits in the history of the game, they genuinely dont have the first.clue what theyre talking about, they make Merson and Keys look like professors of the beautiful game.
Not sure if theyre still on ESPN as im not in that neck of the woods so much these days, but when i was i dont know how i didnt put my foot through the tv when they were on.

Kamara is an annoying twat. The thing McCaffrey was most useful for was ensuring 'Kammy' spoke less.
David Platt makes me laugh, he is the worst co-commentator ever, i was once watching a game and i thought there was only the commentator , low and behold after 35 mins Platt said something! he'd been there since the beginning and hadn't said anything :shake:

our main pundit is now steve macmahon. and he's alright around the office but is actually overly critical of rafa (imo) ever since he joined us as full time pundit. think he might have to change his tune a bit this season.

espn star sports- we basically cover english football for the whole of asia- around 220million subscribers.
we're based in singapore (where we don't have the rights ironically enough)
its scary to see the devotion to the reds in asia- we've got huge potential in this part of the world.
to give you an idea. if we can get just 1% of the population of india and china to support us (ie buy our mobile content when it happens/ subscribe to lfc tv) thats about 20-25million people
and thats not counting malaysia, indonesia and thailand who all have massive populations too

I hate to break this love in but I have heard that McCafferey is a Preston fan but studied in Liverpool and has had a soft spot for them. Theres that Paul Boardman who presented You're On who is a definite Liverpool fan. Kudos to him.
