Wenger agrees new deal at Arsenal

Wenger joined Arsenal in 1996
Arsene Wenger has agreed to sign a new three-year contract at Arsenal, BBC Sport understands.
The 57-year-old's deal was set to expire at the end of the season, with reports linking him with the Real Madrid and England jobs.

"The new agreement will earn Wenger about £4m a year," said BBC Sport editor Mihir Bose.

"The timing is no big surprise because the last time he signed a new deal was towards the end of his last contract."

Good news. It is always a pleasure to watch Wenger's Arsenal (unless they are beating us).

Also I like having a manager in the league who threw Pizza at Fergie :D

good news for Arsenal, if Wenger left, then Cesc and Van Persie would go and gthey'd be really fucked.

Huge relief for their fans, they really needed that now. Without Wenger their team could implode.

Bet he's signed as he knows something's in the pipeline for a take over involving Dein

That would be a pretty good bet.

If not, I doubt he'll see the contract out.

So he hasn't signed it yet but is expected to "make a decision" within the next 48hrs according to SSN.

He has been saying it since the weekend so it was inevitable.

I'd love if Rafa were to spend as long with us as Arsene has with Arsenal.

The irony of it all is that Henry left because he wasnt sure of Wenger's future.

Henry wanted to leave because of money and lack of challenge. He used that as an excuse.
