View Full Version : ManUre's Rossi to the Barcodes
Los Rojos

Looks like Rossi is signing for Newcastle on a year's loan. He's going to be a good player and you can't see him playing much for United this season, especially now that Solsjkaer is 'fit' again.
He's not exactly that 'different' type player which Roeder was looking for though is he? A bit similar to Owen, Ameobi and Martins from what I recall.
Mind you, Newcastle were never interested in Kuyt were they? ;)

If the scum have let him go then they could possibly have a replacement lined up.
Hopefully it's no one decent though.
The Scum probably has someone lined up. They think of Solskjær as more of an RM if you belive the norwegian papers, and that would leave them a bit short on strikers.

Based on what?
Rossi looks like an excellent goal scorer, probably needs to toughen up and get a little stronger to make it in our league.
Rossi is crap.
I rate him very highly. He could easily force his way into the barcodes first team, and make it hard for more expensive names!
He creates chances for himself, has great movement, and is a cracking finisher!
Based on any time I've seen him play!
Just my opinion of course, which I freely admit is slightly blinkered when it comes to Manure players!!

Mellor was great too at Rossi's level. Not saying Rossi won't be a great player but scoring a bagful in the ressies doesn't mean he'll defo be a hit at Prem level.
The advantage he has over Mellor is that he's more mobile and is likely to get more playing time over at Newcastle, seeing as they have no strikers.
Has a decent chance to make it - just goes to show that Newcastles money might have finally run out. Why didn't they blow another £10m on another dodgy striker?:eyebrow:
As it happens i don't see a lot reserve games at Utd! My opinion is based on his first team apps, however sparingly.
Oh, and he doesn't carry a two stone fat suit.
