    Absolute despair

In the football sense - a real travesty.
After such a positive campaign up until last weekend, i can't believe we've undone all our good work, so, so near yet so far.
Can't be too harsh on the lads, they've performed miracles this last 18 months or so. Provided some magic moments for a country which has hit the frontpages more than the backpages in the past, for that i take my hat off to all the staff, management and players associated with our wee country.
In saying that it's bitterly disappointed they just couldn't get the results when they were so badly needed.

Cheers for the sympathy mate, they do say football is a cruel game and this proves it. I'm not the biggest Northern Ireland fan out there, i fact i should really be 'the other side' so to speak but i've taken a keen interest in the new era for Northern Irish football, not only on the pitch but also off it in terms of stamping out the Secterinism.
A shame, a real shame but as i've already said the players, management etc should be proud of themselves.

Well said Marky. So disappointing because that was a game we should never have lost. I don't think I've seen us go away from home and dominate so much and not get a result. At one stage we were camped in their half for a good 25 minutes. They had two attacks the whole match and scored twice and their winner was a defensive howler.

That said it was fun while it lasted!

Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

I was off last week so didn't get a chance to say what a great result in Sweden. Probably too late to help us qualify now, but it was a tremendous performance and a well deserved point.
