Was it a 1 or 2 match ban for getting sent off against the Czechs?
He was missed on Saturday :(

Hunt and McShane are both back for the Cyprus match.
I'd like to see Hunt starting this one with Kilbane at left back.

Yeah, Kelly did okay.
I'd prefer to see a naturally left sided player on that side though, would offer us a better balance going forward as imagine we'll be playing a more attacking game against the Cypriots.
Kelly could be moved into centre back alongside McShane to replace Dunne. I'm surprised he didn't play there against the Germans as he has more experience in that position than Joey O' Brien.
Kelly is useless on the left. he was showing ZE Germans a direct route to our goal the other night. He's a fucking right back staunton!

When you got 2 right backs, one has to play on the wrong side. So does the better of the two, Finnan, play on the right or on the left?
Admittedly, against the Czechs (or was it Slovakia?) he just blatantly had them on the wrong sides :rash:

Latest is that Reid is doubtful.
If he and Carsley are both out that leaves us with a probable midfield partnership of Miller and Potter.

I don't think Staunton has ever played Kilbane in the middle.
A midfield of:
Kilbane -- Potter -- Miller -- Keogh
doesn't bear thinking about.

I don't agree he should be dropped, but it was a big mistake making him captain. Perhaps he would play with more freedom and confidence if he didn't have that burden.
Given or Dunne should have been made captain.
