I still can't believe how Blackburn got him, and the fact they got him for £3.5 million. :jaw:
Seems to be scoring for fun.
23 appearances so far, with 11 goals and 5 assists.
Looks a clas act. Finished article etc etc..
Would have been a really good squad player, but I think that is why he left Bayern - he wants regular 1st team action and is at a good club for that.

5 goals in his last 2 games.
Been very impressive.
As looprevil said he seems to be thriving on regular first team football and looks to be a quality player.
I couldn't see us having the same impact for us if he joined as a squad player.
I said all the time that he is a quality player. He is better than Crouch for example and is the same type of player.
I would take Cruz before Crouch ten times out of ten.

Was just checking out Wiki, apparently he's had a fair few injury problems over the years, so he's had trouble establishing himself in the first team.
Bayern do have Toni, Podolski and Klose so it was going to be hard for him to get into the side.

Feck, i thought he was about 29/30.
Looks a class player for Blackburn, reminds me of Berbatov a bit actually.

Im the same as Marky i thought he was 29/early 30's
Must of just sold him for that small fee to get money in for Toni or Ribery
i've always rated him, and have tried to keep an eye out for him. he never got the break he deserved at bayern and a few injuries made sure the he never would. i always try to watch Paraguay when i can, he's been their best player in years and at times the only player on the pitch worth while, but he's always impressed me. i wasn't sure if he would cut it in the premierleague, with his lack of form little playtime in germany and his injuries. i'm glad he's performing well. i wouldn't mind a sneaky bid in the summer to replace crouch, i think he'd be a good partner for torres...
I think that we should always try and buy players that will adapt quickly. Living in Blackburn means he should be in close proximaty to Liverpool so there won't be a s much disruption to his home life and he will be able to focus immediatly on the football.
So I think we should buy Santa Cruz, He's not that far.

Dear God, please no puns on Thrills songs.
This is a Liverpool forum.
We have standards.
We should bid for Santa Cruz though - quality player.

Santa Cruz is quality and Blackburn did some great business to snap him up from Bayern so cheaply!
Got a cracking e/w bet on him as top scorer in the Premiership before the season started @ 66/1! Hope he continues his form and keeps his fitness (as he has been prone to an injury or two).

Sorry mate, couldn't resist. Incidently I'm ashamed to say I like the Thrills. I usually avoid advertising that though. I also think that Santa Cruz would be a real improvement on Kuyt and the Crow if that makes it a bit more acceptable

Agreed on the last bit.
I'll leave you off with the Thrills reference this once.
Just don't leave it happen again.
