This Satirday/Sunday 2.00am on SS1.

The first fight ended in a draw before the match was officially handed to Barrera because the judge totaled up his scorecard wrong.

I have a feeling that Barrera will win this one again and this time it'll be more convincing.

Your thoughts?

Dont think I seen the last fight, but yes, i'd imagine that barrera be too strong for him.
Junior Witter is fighting on Friday against Demarcus corley. should be an interesting test for him.

The last fight was close, very close. Jaurez showed some real skills and broke Barrera's nose in the 2nd or 3rd round. From then on Barrera struggled but I'm pretty sure that his experience will shine through in the next fight.

From then on Barrera struggled but I'm pretty sure that his experience will shine through in the next fight.I'm still waiting for Barrera's punch resistance to fade which is one of the main problems for warriors like Barrera but i saw little evidence of it in is fight with Juarez but he did have to visit the well a few times,i predict a Barrera win because his team would have done there home work, but i don't expect many more victory's for the great man after this win.

Barrera fight will be a good one, if the last fight is anything to go by.
Barrios has been in a few good fights, so ill be looking forward to seeing him again.
I may have seen Vazquez and Gonzales fight before, but cant remember lol. Should be an interesting night anyway.

Joan Guzman is the guy that Scott Harrison was supposed to fight about a year ago but Guzman moved up in weight. after seeing Guzman fight I'd say that Harrison got off lightly. Guzman is huge and could probably campaign at Light-Weight or even Light-Welter. So him against Barrios should be a good fight.

I'm so stoned it feels like my eyes are bleeding, so I can't see me making 2am. Looks like it'll be a recording of the 8.30am repeat!

Summat to do before the match tomorrow innit...it'll save me from pacing around the living room as I normally do.

I've just read that Barrios never made the weight so if he wins he will still lose his WBO title where as if Guzman wins he'll walk away with the belt.

I think Barrera will win tonight. I think barrios is a good fighter too.
If im honest, I avent seen enough of the others to say who is going to win.
Unless you know of somewhere where I could get some info on the fighters.

That should be a good fight but I think Mayweather has to much speed and finesse for Baldomir.

I hope sky show the fight but it hasn't been announced yet...

Mayweather would be the favourite in my book too.
Baldomir seems to be very confident of an upset though, and has been going on about fighting Mayweather for quite some time. The lad has confidence in his own ability, i'll give him that.

Just from memory, from seeing Barrios fighting, im going to go for Guzman to win his fight. Did you happen to catch Barrios's fight a couple of years back with Freitas?. Freitas won that close close fight with possibly the best knockdown I ever seen. I'll have a quick pike on uyoutube see if i can find it

Freitas - Barrios, two knockouts in the one round, take note of the second one, youtube quality doesnt do much justice though.

This kinda reminds me of Mayweather V Gatti fight, When Gatti knew he was beaten by the far superior technical boxer very early on. Guzman is looking good, and heavy, first time I have seen him fight.

kurtangle01
17-09-06, 03:31 AM
Guzman diminated that fight and I'm at a loss as to why one of the judges scored it for Barrios and the other 2 had it quite a tight decision. Guzman won and he deserved to.

Perhaps junior Witter should watch that fight and see what a world title fight should actually be like.:D

Keep your eye on Vazquez in the next fight because this guy has the fastest hands I've ever seen.

He's a good fighter. Scott Harrison was due to fight him last winter but the fight got cancelled. On tonights evidence and from what I've seen of Guzman before Harrison got off lightly.

Will do, that guzman chap looked like a power house in comparrison to barrios. I guess that one judge liked the come forward style of Barrios. Much like the Hatton fight.

Am I glad I didn't stay up for the Barrera fight! Just watched it without knowing the result and although Barrera fought a smart fight, it wasn't half dull.

The Guzman-Barrios fight was fucking brilliant...thoroughly enjoyed it. Mental opening flurry at the first bell. First time I've seen Guzman and he looks some fighter.
