I no longer think we have the best central midfield in the world

    #2

Nor do I. In fact I feel a bit of a cunt for ever thinking we did. And I really did too. Does that make me fickle or just someone who calls it as he sees it? I dunno.

    Depressed.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Going on reputations it would have been a fair shout.

'Best Central Midfield in the World' anyway.

was always a **** song. since when has best midfield equated to 4 central midfielders? that song sums up some of our fans.

We have 3 of the very best central midfielders in the world.

              We missed Mascher tonight badly.
He is easily our best central midfield player at the moment, he has a job to do and he does it, without any exceptions. He may not be the best going forward, but he is easily recognisable as one of the best holding midfielders in the world.
Alonso will come good again, he needs a few games to get back into the swing of things.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

We do, but they need more than one player (Torres) to make things happen with their movement.

Not sure about that. Can't remember a good performance from him in 2 years.
I'm afraid his a one season wonder for me.

Doesn't matter whether we do or we don't. Keep singing it. I bet it makes them lads feel 10 foot tall. Support the lads.

Welcome to the real world. We never did.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

Our problem wasn't there last night. Our problem was the threat generated by the 3 behind Torres.

That's because you remember his season in front of Didi. Lots of long passes to feet etc. His role changed 2nd half of his first season while he was educated in doing the Didi role. That's where he plays now and does it well. He has played plenty of great games since his first season and will again when he gets enough games under his belt.

                            One season wonder

Torres was abysmal. He would be the first to say so. One of his worst displays so far.
