View Full Version : Yakubu at Everton
Wow, what a signing he has turned out to be for them. Already scored a couple of hat-tricks and got another one over night.

Wish we'd got him instead of Kuyt.

Fuck off, I said we should be in for him (http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=317425&postcount=133) and people said he is shit.
Hahaha.

Maybe people meant, in comparison to Eto'o?
His general all round play isn't great and he's a lazy fucker BUT by feck does he know where the net is.
Im sure voronin has an amazing mentality, how many goals has he scored this year?

Voronin don't go AWOL just because he feels like doing it.

Missing the point here AFII...
Voronin goes missing while actually on the pitch.

Post of the year
He's a decent player, but I would imagine that we would all be sitting around complaining about how he wasn't good enough for us had we actually signed him.
The thing is it is a very difficult move up to play for a team like us where a lot of teams are happy to purely defend. I think Yakubu is a good player but unless we sell Crouch there is no real place for him in our squad. We require guile and a different option to link midfield and attack in my opinion.
I think he would not be doing as well for us as he has been for Everton. He would also not help the current apparent lack of conviction in the squad with his apparently inconsistent attitude and enthusiasm.

You can't compare him to Kuyt because he wouldn't do the same work as him. Crouch is the one you should compare him to.
