Chelsea appeal Fat Jamie Redknapp/Rik Waller/Lampard red card

Surely anything other than an additional game ban for Fwank would amount to double standards considering Alliadiere's appeal?

true, it'd really piss them off over at the Bridge if the ban was extended.
Lets see how much of a double standard the FA apply.

Neither were sending off's in my view but in the wake of Boro's rants about favouritism among the bigger clubs and the petty extension of his ban they have to extend Lampard's. But this is the FA I suppose.

I wonder what odds you'd get on Alliadiere's ban being reduced back down to three before Chelsea's hearing?

Supposedly the linesman has said he saw Lampard hit Boa Morte in the face rather than push him in the chest. If so that's grounds to allow the appeal and at the very least make it not "frivolous".

Having just seen it on SSN, I think he deserved at least a yellow for deliberately putting his boots into Boa Morte's back. Boa Morte deserved the same punishment for his kick out in retaliation. Both these incidents were before the punch/push.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

          Very long odds I reckon.

How much do you want to bet? I might be prepared to take your money.

Maybe but there was more contact from Lampard on Boa Morte than Alliadiere on Mascherano. I agree with a yellow for both and get on with the game. This is going to be quite interesting.

              Vulture.

I wouldn't bet on it but nothing the FA could do would surprise me. That would be a perfect way of appeasing Boro and not upsetting big bad Chelsea. I don't think it will happen but I bet it crosses their minds. I'll put money on that.

hopefully while they are at the appeal they will also appeal the ridiculous decision that allowed makele to stay on the pitch. Maybe they could just swap bans?

Red card rescinded. What a farce.

Why? The ref said he sent him off for hitting Boa Morte in the face and when he saw the replay he realized he'd made a mistake.

I still think he should have been booked for the petulant raking with his studs.

Yep just saw that on the BBC. Aliadiere four game ban, Lampard ban rescinded.

This only adds further evidence to the notion that the top teams get special treatment from the FA.

Hadn't heard any of the ref's comments.

He should've been sent off for for his petulant kick out.
