    UEFA Cup final

Only a day or so to go, we have a fairly large Scottish (well, Glaswegian) contingent at work and they're all Rangers fans to a man (or woman) so there is a bit of a buzz about the place - although I actually think Zenit will win.

It's also nice seeing the banners and fan parks getting put up around the city - I think I'll go along if I can tomorrow night and sample the atmosphere.

Only down side is they're closing off a load of roads all day tomorrow so it'll be a nightmare with congestion etc.

You'll go along to sample the atmosphere?! I'd rather stick pins in my eyes.

I'm guessing of course but I think it'll kick off.

Just had lunch in Albert Square and I think that the sun and the ale have already gone to some of our Scottish friends's heads - LOL

Nah it won't kick off at all.

But yeah i think Zenit will be better prepared tomorrow. Rangers are tired and i really don't think they will have the energy to beat such a good footballing team that will work the ball all over the park and make rangers chase

I don't think it'll kick off really, I remember being in Seville and even though Celtic lost I didn't see any trouble.

My mate sold 2 tickets for £1200. He advertised them as freebies in a sale of Manchester City programmes to get round e-bays ban.

Zenit will win comfortably, there will be no trouble. Those are my predictions.

Walter Smiths teamtalk will be "Play for penalties". I know it's what theyve got to do as if they opened up during the tournament they'd of been out ages ago but ****ing hell it's been painful to watch.

United's 'MIB' have a score to settle with Rangers after their last visit down here - which was carnage. I'm almost sure there'll be trouble again. United will be out in town in force and it will go off.

Brilliant stuff - there were hundreds outside the Oyster Bar last night singing their hearts out - a great noise.

This morning has been chaos - loads of closed roads and loads of vans/people carriers with Rangers flags and scarves etc. Loads of groups of lads already on the piss.

                      Some rough looking types though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've drunk every pub and every off licence dry by 3pm.

And the council have only placed 400 additional toilets too. 100,000 into 400 doesn't go.

Glasgow will be a wonderful place today with half the scum gone

I wandered round Manchester city centre yesterday after work, saw plenty of Rangers fans, who were pretty well behaved to be fair. Barely saw any Zenit fans though.

Just my opinion but I dont think there will be any major trouble, beyond the normal people having one to many to drink etc.
