Players Agreeing Deals before the Clubs

What is it with players these days, I always seem to read that Such and Such had agreed a deal with the club but the two clubs hae yet to agree a price.
If i was a club i would be majorly pissed off there, it shows the player wants to leave and then if they cant agree a price the player is expected to stay.
I think its well wrong, Ronaldo and Adebayor being recent ones.

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has agreed a deal to join AC Milan, according to reports in Italy. But according to Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport Arsenal's reported £32m asking price for the striker could be too much for the Italian giants.

It is pretty low behaviour. still at the minute all we have to go on is media speculation.

I thought there were supposed to be rules against 'tapping up' or has the amount of money in the game made FIFA/UEFA give up on another principle?

Just read about the Adabayour [spelling?] deal on the Telegraph.

Bit of a shocker. Just goes to show who really has the power in the modern game.

Still it'll be nice watching Ronaldo **** United over all summer long

I know it has probably gone on for a while, but it has become common practice now. I remember we got done for the Ziege deal.

yes but it would be silly, weakening the selling clubs bargaining power if the player wants to leave no matter what.

surely its grounds to file a complaint against the club speaking to the player before agreeing a fee with the player team

Yes but theres never any evidence to prove it just speculation.
