:haha: Gollum already moaning before the season has started.:haha:

Everton seem to be in crisis on both sides of the Atlantic after a disastrous week in which chief executive Keith Wyness quit and manager David Moyes had to read the riot act after another sorry pre-season performance.

With the shock of Wyness' departure still evident at Goodison Park, hours later Everton lost 2-0 to Chicago Fire in the States and had teenager James Vaughan sent off for a terrible tackle.

That was the third defeat Everton have suffered in their worrying pre-season preparation.

And Moyes slammed Vaughan and his under-performing players before claiming that the club were making no progress in the transfer market.

The Chicago defeat ended with striker Vaughan being red-carded for a shocking tackle on Daniel Woolard.

Moyes pulled no punches, saying: 'It was a terrible tackle from James Vaughan.

'I have told him and I just will not have that. He has apologised but it is the player he made the tackle on he should be apologising to.'

Boss Moyes is touring the States with a paper-thin squad, and faces another game with Colorado Rapids on Sunday before returning to the UK with the new season by then just two weeks away.

And Moyes underlined the lack of success in the transfer market - the club have still to sign a new player this summer.

He told evertonTV: 'We cannot hide the fact that we need new players at Everton.

'Everybody knows it, I know it, the players know it - we have to get five or six players in before the season starts.

'It is okay getting fit, but you have got to be able to play better. At the moment there is not enough competition for the players to realise that if they play poorly they will not be selected.'

Injuries, plus players left at home to recover from long-term problems, have not helped Moyes on the club's US tour.

He said: 'We are a long way away from where we think we are going to be but that is due to several different circumstances.

'We are having to use some of the lads more than we would like to but some of them are just not playing well.

'Some of them are going to have to start looking at their own performances because we do not have any competition just now.

'Maybe it is a little bit easy for them. We do not have enough players to cope with what we have got just now. It is a big concern.'

On the transfer front, Moyes alarmingly added: 'We are in a poor, poor situation regarding going forward.'

If it hadn't been for Heysel Everton would have won the game, Vaughan wouldn't have been sent off, they'd have eleventy squillion quid in loose change, they'd be playing in a stadium that was a cross between the Nou Camp, Wembley and the Garden of Eden David Moyes wouldn't be ginger and Phil Neville would only have one head.

haha it's class isn't

All the bitters have been quiet lately - not a fucking peep, one lad tried to have a go at our signings in the pub - something like who the fuck are degen and dossena, keanes a waste of money etc etc -

A simple "and who the fuck you signed!" ended it quickly

CEO has resigned, there were rumours at the start of the summer moyes wanted out, he obv isn't happy following his recent comments and they seem to have a had a fucking terrible pre season

I know it's only pre season but apparently they have been battered in the states - u just know if us, manu, arse, chelsea had a pre season like that the papers would be ripping us to shreds.

I'd love it, fucking love it if the transfer window closed and they hadn't signed anyone haha.

Won't happen tho - i predict, last week of the window moyes will panic buy and bring in some unkonw african striker, a over the hill defender and a couple of random portugese loans

A great start to Friday morning.

Great to see Gollum toiling away in vain.

Now let's hope the tricksy hobbits finish him off and push him into the depths of the volcano.

Cahill?:)

Could be, although he's always crocked so I'd imagine he'd be left behind in the shire eating jars of vegemite.

Osman could do the job.

Only one thing could top off a successful season in which we win No 19 and possibly the CL and that would be the Bitters getting relegated.

Imagine it.................................

It could be any one, and thats quite worrying for me! Although obviously other teams have been taken over and haven't broken into the top four yet...

Well it's bound to happen sometime, someone will buy them, the rumour is the bizzillionaire that wants Newcastle has told Ashley he has a week to decide to sell, or.............he'll bugger off and buy Leeds, well at least he's upfront with his disregard for the club.

There are 2 rich types after Newcastle, so that leaves one for another club to try and attract.

It'll take a while longer yet, although there's no disputing Portsmouth's improvement since they were taken over, but i don't think their owner is on the scale of Abrahamovic or this Indian chappie.

Moyes is a good manager on a limited budget, so who knows what could happen if he was given proper funds.I suppose I will leave worrying until we see what happens , hopefully they will make a bigger cock up of it than we did!
