Nasri and Denilson in the middle. That's very light. Curious to see how Arsenal cope, their team looks a bit average with all of their injuries.

They don't as much produce them as buy them in, often for big money. Denilson, for instance, cost them £3.5m two years ago when he was only 18 years old.

Doesn't matter. He's worth three times that today. Excellent signing.

Adebayor had a shit game, main reason why they only scored one goal, but Baggies weren't too bad. I think they can stay up. Certainly have a better chance than the other two.

One good game today doesn't make him a £10M player.

He's obviously talented but he barely played for them last season. Let's see how he does over this season before wetting ourselves over another great Arsenal youngster.

Scolari has brought a confidence to this team... Past managers may have over done it on tactics, etc; They have enough talent all over the park that, if you just cut them loose and let them play, they can be dominant. They are playing with flair and confidence. I wish Rafa would stop over-thinking the game and allow us to play positive football like this. Play people in their natural positions and let rip; It's not rocket science.

Chelsea look extremely impressive. Shame that Ballack has gone, he is in a class of his own. I appreciate watching him than Fat Fwank who constantly hogs the spotlight.

Pompey have been poor, they haven't exploited Chelsea's lack of width. All of Chelsea's midfield is this tight diamond system. Kranjcar is right footed on the left and Papa Bouba Diop isn't called the 'wardrobe' for no reason. Defoe is playing the hole for some reason. If Pompey want to play the direct football, they need Crouch to go near Cole or Carvalho and Defoe to try and exploit Terry's lack of pace.

Dion Dublin- WHAT THE FUCK?! Four brainless cunts in the studio. :shake:

The point they make, and Speedy's lame attempt at tripping me up by asking "what do they sing?", is that it's a Forlan song - "we made it up first" rah rah rah. Well, yes, but their version is a) totally inferior, b) about a fucking shit striker (while ours is about the best in the world) and c) is totally and utterly irrelevant now the failed Uruguayan has long since left. The only reason they've wheeled it out is because ours sounds fucking boss. We sang it at OT for 20 minutes solid last season (during the game) despite a dire performance and it sounded ace.

Since then they've aped us by singing their thoroughly irrelevant and cringeworthy response.

True but Kuyt played as a striker for one and half years. Gutierrez is a winger in the natural sense.

Kiss of death this, but Newcastle have actually looked decent and Utd have looked vulnerable once or twice.

I hope we have a proper go at them when we go to OT this year. We seem to have practically accepted defeat before kick off in recent seasons so hopefully things can change.

Would you call him a better goal scorer or provider playing from the flank? I don't. Gutierrez was playing for Mallorca who performed well last season but in recent seasons they have been average. Kuyt plays for a team which constantly gives him chances

Think we'll finish ahead of United this year. They've looked very average today and second best at times. They've got Hargreaves, Anderson, Tevez, Saha and nani out, but other teams do as well. Everyone else has bought, they've stood still. Honestly think they might finish 4th.

But Kuyt also last season helped create a lot of chances, especially in the last half of the season and he (although not in the league) got a goals for us.

How many league goals did Kuyt score for us? Was it 3? Two penalties and one off his arse? For me, thats not good enough.

Yeah, he had a poor season, the previous season he scored a lot more and had a very good second half of the season. He also got some important champions league goals.

Yep he did get some Champions League goals for us but what is our priority? CL or the Premiership?

All Ferguson wanted this summer was a striker and he still hasn't got one.

If it was us it'd be a crisis.

Yes but the season before he scored 13 league goals. So he can do it. I feel if he find that again he could be very dangerous. Last season was a tough one for Kuyt too with the death of his father and it was clear that affected him.

You can't say that. We don't know how he was. If he is playing, he should be ok mentally. If he wasn't playing then fair enough, he was affected.

Add Ronaldo to that, and Berbatov coming in during the coming week. They are miles ahead of us.

Gotta love how fast you guys are with the permutations, that game has only ended seconds ago :haha:

But yeah, take your point, would certainly be nice scenario for our confidence for the anfield game.

Very pleased with that result. Only one point to the scum at home, injury to Carrick and three yellows. All in all a good day at OT.

I had this game down for a draw on the spurs board and put £50 on at 9-4. Not bad!

Not real money of course. I'm not a gambling man but there is a betting thing going with VR money. Great fun.

Might be worth asking young Mr Michael if we could have the same on here!
