I have a couple of questions to ask those more in the know on football strategy.
1.) Given the fact that Aurelio was exploited by Gala, is this something you accept as the cost of being able to move forward in numbers, OR are South American wingbacks generally more defensively astute than our Fabio. For example,would Alves, whom Rafa seems hot after, be more solid in defense (and I know he plays the other side of the pitch, just comparing defensively) ?
Or is the real issue with using a system with "wing-backs" as opposed to true right backs and left backs ?
2.) Alonso seemed to dissappear in the second half. Is this more a function of Gala recognizing the weakness down our left flank and focusing their attack there or should Alonso have vacated the center to help support the flank ?
