Oh dear. That is a MASSIVE blow for them.
Although that article says 3 months, not 5.

He's a very good footballer.
That's Barca's season fucked then. He's their only real 'out and out' striker.

Don't worry they have Maxi Lopez lol. We will see how he does as he will defo get his chance know.
saviola must be glad he stuck around, he'll prove his worth...

I can see Maxi in front of him to be honest as they like a bigger man than Saviola (who is 5-7?) upfront.
Sad news for Eto'o - hope he recovers fully and quickly.
I think the Chelsea games are now set up for Gudjohnsen to prove his worth for Barca! ;)
Wouldn't that be nice!

Nah, they've still got Eidur "TOO SEXY" Gudjohnsen!:haha:
Eh... F*ck Barca! Without Eto'o and horseteeth, they'd be nothing! Absolutely nothing! It'll be interesting to see how will they cope without Eto'o.

Hmmmm.
Puyol, Marquez, Xavi, Messi, Giuly, Zambrotta, Deco.... All really bad players!

OK, there are some good players at Barca, but the driving force comes from Ronaldinho and Eto'o. If those two are absent, Barca don't know hot to play! And I can't stand people saying that Messi is the new Maradona. FFS, he is the weakest footballer I've ever seen. Goes down for every shite! OK, he's young and he has to learn a lot, but FFS don't call him new Maradona. If he's new Maradona, then Stevie Gerrard is what... Maradona+120?
Have you actually watched Messi? One thing that has always impressed me about him is how he tries to stay on his feet when being challenged, and continue dribbling with the ball. He seems pretty strong to me for a small fella. I'm not saying he has never gone down easy, but you accusation is way wide of the mark.
Plus I didn't call him the new Maradona. He is a cracking young player though, and will only get better.
Also, how can you say Barca are nothing without Ronaldinho or Eto'o. I think in the last two seasons they have only missed a handful of games each, and Barca have done alright haven't they.

Isn't that the point? If they'd missed say 5 months how good would they have been?
Anyway, I wouldn't go that far myself although I was wondering who their back-up strikers are. Larsson's OK but he's about 55 now so got to be doubtful to perform week in week out. Have they still got that tall, slow, weak Maxi Lopez or did they move him on? Who else is there?

Larsson returned to Sweden to finish his career.
They still have Savvy and that blonde ex-chav thought.

Oh yeah forgot all that. :o
So they have some quite good strikers - although that Icelandic player isn't much good, he can't hit the target from 3 yards six minutes into injury time.
They're good but they're not as good as Eto'o.

Thank god for that :D
With Ronnie, Deco, Giuly, Messi & Iniesta who needs strikers anyway :crackoff:

I think they'll miss him. Still I expect they'll probably do OK and if he's back in time for the second half of the season they stand a chance of repeating last year's successes.

No way. When they meet Liverpool in the final of CL, I think their chances to repeat last seasons' success are slim to none! :crackoff: :)
