as i write this west ham are 3-0 down against palermo why has it gone for pardew after the excellent last season, is it all down to the two argies joining the club or something else

THe second season is often harder than the first. Wigan are suffering a little now as well - to enforce the point.

This is a reason why cup losers should not be rewarded with a Euro place, it should go the same way as the League Cup, just not granted.

Remember Millwall not long ago, it should go to the highest placed PL team not in Europe, mind you, neverton wasted their chance as well didn't they?, so that blows that theory right out of the water!

I caught a little of the Newcastle game on five last night - all I can say if thank goodness we are in the Champions League, it's impossible to get excited by the UEFA Cup now.

We cannot drop out of the top 4 from now on (unless we win big ears again... ;))
