SSN asked him if the rumour that he'd asked the board to be given 6 games to prove himself was true, he said it was rubbish, then waffled on a bit before saying let's see where we are at Xmas. So they only gave him 3 then....
:haha:
You have to think if any deadlines are to be set then they will coincide with the transfer window.

The board have said they have complete confidence in him and that they need to start winning soon.
Two to go then? :)

Depends how much time they need to get a replacement in ready for the transfer window, I suppose?
tbh im waiting for him to play the race card again when he does get sacked

Harsh, but pretty fair. Who's racist this time, the players?
Aye the players like Samba, McCarthy etc :D

tbh it was fairly pointless appointing an inexperienced manager as they can only be given 3 or 4 months before the plug has to be pulled, if it's not going well. It's hardly enough time to get the hang of it, is it? He'd have been better off bringing a Championship team up to the Prem, at least then he's had a chance to build the team.

no-one's said he deserves the sack, just that it's going to happen. you should send your support for him to the Blackburn board.
Ince's problem is that he is actually a bit thick which was always going to hinder him.

eh  who said i did say that?
Give the man a chance that's my point, isn't aimed at anyone on here.

Thickness and arrogance.
A dangerous combination.

sorry - thought you meant us
he said something like that after Keane walked. "You've got to give young managers a chance!" with a rising note of hysteria in his voice.

if he wasn't, he probably would have thought twice about going straight into a Prem job.
What do you mean?
Macclesfield -> MK Dons -> Premiership
I'm betting he was surprised a big four team didn't come in for him! :D

what about incey
:crackoff:
tbf it also shows what a great job mark hughes did
looks like its getting even worse for Incey
I could pinpoint all blackburns problems in one small post.
Keith Andrews, Tuguy, Ried, Brett Emerton and Pederson.
That right there is a shockingly bad midfield and its no wonder they can't pick up points. They have no chance of controlling any match with a midfield like that. Tugay was a good enough player a couple of years ago but he's too old now and Pederson is very hit and miss.
They need atleast 2 new central midfielders and desperately need to buy a right winger otherwise they may be going down
I find Ince unnerving and painful to watch in interviews as he's clearly not right in the head. He always sounds like someone's about to shoot him, talks in a high-pitched babbling nervous voice with about five million "you know"s thrown in, while his eyes are always darting about. Very strange guy.

never liked the fella tbh and felt uneasy backing him when he played for us
and if i were a blacburn fan i wouldnt be happy the way he laughs and hugs every other player and manager after his team have just been humped
he wont last the week

Quite harsh on Ince because Keane, Adams, Southgate all found it extremely hard to settle into a job. Judge him at the end of the season.
Hughes left at the best time, he took to Blackburn to their pinnacle and he couldn't take them further. Players were wanting to leave and it was always going to be hard on Ince. Of course, he wouldn't say no in that position but maybe he should have tried and got someone who is experienced at coaching at a high level as part of his coaching team.

I'm not sure he had that many friends to call on.
The pressure on him seems to be largely due to the fact the Jack Walker Trust want to sell the club. Sad state of affairs really but in a very strong league they do have a tough decision to make as they really can't afford relegation.

I wouldn't be surprised at his lack of friends judging by the stories but surely there was some 'elder' coach who would be able to help him out.
No club can afford relegation but if you install a man who was clearly inexperienced then show some believe in him. If not, get rid of him because the transfer window is round the corner.

Which experienced coach/manager would you think would want to come in and be a number two? I can't think of any who would qualify as capable in the modern era.
Some clubs can afford relegation more than others (look at how Reading handled it compared to other recent teams who have gone down). If you want to sell a team in the north of Britain at the minute you really can't afford to loose PL status IMO.
I think the problem is that a board is not necessarily of a single opinion. I'd be tempted to back him but would want to see him have a well defined plan to get out of the current difficulties.
the blackburn boards support of him is deafening is it not

Tbf he has Archie Knox there whos one of the most experienced coaches around
It could actually get a lot worse for them, from BBC gossip:
Blackburn manager Paul Ince's job is hanging by a thread after their run of defeats continued against Wigan on Saturday - and former Rovers boss Graeme Souness is the clear favourite to replace him. (Daily Mirror)
It was a bizarre decision to appoint him in the first place. By their own admission Blackburn had 40 or 50 applicants, I fail to see how he was the strongest candidate especially when Allardyce was a dead cert to have sent his CV in.

That's always puzzled me too, surely there were stronger applicants than Ince, a bizzare choice from Blackburn, I give him until the weekend

I would of thought blackburn will put in a caretake then when Mark hughes is sacked they make a move for him.
