Evra out for 3 weeks, Rio out unknown and now Rooney torn hamstring, out minimum of 3 weeks. Some say 6. Tevez and Johnny Evans also 'limping' apparently. Ronaldo's head still in Madrid and Tevez's contract status in the air.
The only hope I have of winning the league is if the opponents keep imploding. Let's hope the next game against Bolton is a draw, or better for us.

Aye, many twists and turns to come yet before this Title is done and dusted.

If we can't win this title against a side which is half crocked by the sound of things, we truly do have the mentality of a cup team.

Joe, agreed. :handshake:
I remember reading somewhere that Rafa's Valencia, although a brilliant outfit, only won two La Ligas because Real Madrid and Barcelona were going through transitional phases at the same time. Let's hope some of that luck adds a Premiership title to his name.

I think the 2nd title they won..they lost a couple and went a few points adrift, really dug in and won a few and Madrid lost 5 in a row and basically imploded from a great position. The first I'm not entirely sure.
Anyway, great news. They should hopefully struggle

Chelsea are going through that now and United on paper are at their strongest in comparison to the last three seasons. Evidently, United are our title challengers. Do I think we have the balls? Nope. The results are clear proof of this. I would loved to be proved wrong. Loved to be proved wrong.

Yes, please clean this thread up. We're discussing our only title rival's serious-ish injury problems. Long may that continue.

I was thinking that after the Derby game. They had too many games, each one now a must win. Which means putting your first XI at risk all the time. Just need Berbatov and Vidic to under now.

More Vidic. We must capitalise against Everton. Every game is a must win.

The league is there for the taking for ManU now. They have kept clean sheets for 7 league games in a row.
If someone asked me: Out of the two teams which team is more likely to win 6 straight league games, im afraid id have to answer ManU.
the league remains in our hands
and we will win it

why do people keep saying they wont beat bolton. bolton are not the bolton from fat sams days. united will steam roll them. they are in form, digging out results when playing poor. we cant break teams down and our manager is stubborn.

With you on that one. The Rooney injury will score us some points in the coming weeks. He's very good, isn't he?

And Rooney missing games against Bolton, Derby County, West Brom and Everton will not damage them much. Everton is the only potential banana skin there.

He's out for minimum 3 weeks, right? Don't get me wrong, I don't like the guy but he's a beast of a player. His performance against Chelsea both in an attacking sense and tracking back has to be commended.
They're more likely to drop points with him out over any other player.

Except Vidic. However, they have plenty of quality to beat these shite teams without him, and will I expect.
I hate to say this but on current form i think Vidic is currently the best in the world

Actually, Megson was in charge in the corresponding fixture last season ... result - Bolton 1-0 winners. Rooney missed that game and United should've got thrashed.
Just some facts for you guys a la Rafa :handshake:

The league is only in our hands if we win at Old Trafford, so i would say the league is in their hands.
