Footballing World - Goals of the Month: September

Goals of the Month: September (What - only the 1 entry from us!!)

    Watch - http://rapidshare.de/files/35327898/...oftheMonth.mpg

    A. Peter Crouch - Liverpool

This superb over-head kick from Peter Crouch proved to be the winning goal against Galatasaray.

    B. Mark Bresciano - Palermo

Palermo have had a great start to the season, including this fantastic swinging volley by Bresciano against Reggina.

    C. Raul Meireles - FC Porto

Meireles proved what a good player he was last season, but as this fantastic long-range effort proved, he's getting better and better.

    D. Didier Drogba - Chelsea

Drogba's been on fire this season. He showed fantastic technical skills and power to turn and hit this straight into the corner, winning the game for Chelsea.

    E. Robin van Persie - Arsenal

A techically superb volley rifled right in the top of the net, giving Arsenal the victory over Charlton.

    F. Ronaldinho - Barcelona

Ronaldinho, what more needs to be said? This effort capped off a great win for Barcelona in the Champions League.

    G. Marco Caneira - Sporting Lisbon

Caneira inflicted more misery on Inter and Mancini as this fantastic long range effort left Inter with no points after matchday one of the Champions League.

    H. David Villa - Valencia

This superb team goal by Valencia secured them a point against the European Champions.

    I. Dejan Stankovic - Inter Milan

A fantastic goal by Dejan, much like Caneira's goal against Inter in the Champions League.

    J. Darius Miceika - Lithuania

Another fantastic over-head kick, this time from Darius Miceika against Scotland.

    K. Antonio Di Natale - Udinese

A breathtaking goal from Di Natale, the start of a six goal thriller against Sampdoria.

    L. Nani - Sporting Lisbon

A fantastic chip from Sporting prodigy Nani to earn the Portuguese side a valuable point in the Champions League.

    Is this a football forum.

Can't believe Alonso's effort ain't there! Can only assume one goal from each club. Special dispensation surely?!

Slightly OT again, did you know the chat room has this week overtaken the LFC forum for amount of posts, how sad is that for what is essentially an LFC forum?

No wonder we are sometimes treated with disdain by other forums.

I agree, hence my inital reaction.

Some great goals though, and you can officially download them which is just the bees knees!

Not half as sad as actually knowing that

Considering the prolific posters come from the Chill out area of KT its not hard to believe.

In ests favour - the bulk of LFC posts have been of a very high standard - which shocked me to be honest. Some people know their **** on here. I've been asked before what's a second ball - "was another ball on the pitch like!"

That, surely is the important issue quality! I'd take that any day over people bleating on about the same thing, time and time again. I compare it to a soap opera if you watch one long enough the same **** comes round in cycles - its the same with football forums. I've been encouraged by the football banter on here, thus far! Leave the numbers to disco.

Oh, and cheers for the vid - i'll grab it at work, off JANET

Reckon I'll move this to the general footy forum before it vanishes

Crouchy is Number 1 - leave it! That's about as LFC related as it gets, and prob the only time we'll ever get to see Crouchy as a No1 in the world!

It maybe could be moved to music though, as the sound track is awful and I would hate for music aficionados to miss out on such a masterpiece.

Actually, expanding on that, a new sticky for the MDE - "Great LFC Goals"?, for youtube and other clips?

Get some debate going about what is, or isn't, classed as a great goal.
