A bit of good news (NOT) lol

Dirk Kuyt has pledged his future to Liverpool and the forward's agent has stated that contract discussions with the Anfield hierarchy are taking place.
The 28-year-old Dutchman has 15 months remaining on his current deal on Merseyside and recent rumours have suggested that Juventus are monitoring the situation.

However, Kuyt - who joined the Reds in 2006 from Feyenoord - has pledged his future to the Premier League title-chasers.

"I am enormously happy here and I want to continue for as long as possible at Liverpool," he told Voetbal international.

And a representative of Kuyt, John Smith, has confirmed that talks are ongoing with the Liverpool hierarchy.

Smith added: "Furthermore, we are in discussions with Liverpool about a contract extension for Dirk."

If Rafa stays its nailed on Kuyt stays.

If Rafa goes then its a safe bet Kuyt will not be playing so regulary. I can't stand Kuyt. Its not his fault but in him I see all our short comings as a team and every frustration I expell is usually is his direction. He's got the face of a focal point.

A new contract is OK that way we won't have the same problems as we do with Agger and we can thus ideally sell him for some type of fee.
        We come not to play.

Exactly. This is good news as Mourinho will be able sell him to Juve for a decent fee soon.

              Jeez, talk about fickle fans

Kuyt, whilst not being a prolific scorer, brings a whole lot more to the squad than just goals. His workrate is second to none and can be held up as an example of what is expected when you lose the ball.

I think he more like a round peg in a square hole, in as much as Rafa loves the workrate but doesn't know where to play him. Admittedly, he's not the best winger in the PL, but
who would you rather have out there from the club? The list won't be a long one, I promise you

I'll be happy if he signs a new contract, and couldn't give a rat's arse if I'm the only one

He's a good squad player and good for certain games but i would rather have him on the bench mostly

On the bench mostly, what's the point in that, surely players on the bench should have talent/pace/skill to change a match. Kuyt runs round like a C*** all day and that's it... Not in the first team and not on the bench, pleeeease. He's ****. As is Lucas. These players are a laughing stock..

How Kuyt should get a contract before Agger is beyond me.

                      You're not the only one.

This place is a bit of a joke at the moment as I suspect most forums are.

In terms of quality that is true, but I wonder if it is more to do with Agger's wage demands? I'm sure I read something about them being rather high?

Work rate second to none, but i wish people would realise that 'work rate' is the kind of thing teams like West Brom rely on. Without real quality, you'll never win anything of note.
