View Full Version : Joey Barton

Just seen a news flash on the beeb website that the police will not take action over Joey Barton dropping his shorts at the Everton fans.

All I can say to that is good. It really annoys me that all these "fans" can hurl whatever abuse at the players and they are expected to take it as they're "professionals", so when they react like Joey Barton did, they then go bleating to the cops about what a disgrace it is and that they should do something.

Don't get me wrong, there is a line that the players should not transgress - i.e. Cantona, but "fans" can't expect it to cut both ways.

It made me laugh at the weekend when one paper said "Barton seems to have trouble with Everton fans, having already hit one during the summer" :haha:

Horrible fella from a horrible family.

But good on him...

That's a bit harsh, what his brother (or was it cousin - I can't remember) did had nothing to do with him.

Cousin and (half) brother actually. But I was talking regardless of that incident.

He's a prick, honestly

My friend's mum went to school with his dad and Gerrard's dad. She said Gerrard's dad was the prick:D

Haha, I don't doubt it. Both families have a "reputation", the Gerrard's to a lesser degree however

Why are the blueshite complaining they watch 11 arseholes every week, another one shouldn't be a problem.

I hope people saw him give the disabled person his shirt before the incident, i thought that was a great little touch. Also the revealing incident was only a bit of fun and clearly was no harm in it.

Is it also not correct to show a bare arse on TV, because it's been blured out on every replay i've seen of it since, which makes it seem somehow worse than it actually is.

Pearce says it was a comedy incident or something.

It was only Everton ffs!

I heard that his backside is actually like that. It's blurred as a result of a childhood accident.
