Past weekends football - Liverpool - City / Utd - Blackburn

Blackburn gave it a good go, but fair play to Howard Webb - he provided enough talking points to keep us all going.

FA to retrospectively bad Ronaldo the same way they did with Wright-Phillips??

    No.

Reason? Ferguson was incredibly smart by mentioning in his post match interview that Howard Webb told him that he saw the incident and decided a quiet word with Ronaldo was enough.

    Shocking.

And then we fail to turn over City.

**** weekend for footy - probably a good time to shut the site down, or it may have broken down.

To be honest I would have been more gutted to have seen manure draw/lose their game only for us to put a peformance like Man City. And this level of performance hasn't been a one off from us by any means. :-(
      One tit for another.

Benitez is Houllier. Same lame excuses, same bull**** persistence with crap. This has turned into our season from 2002-03

Did we finish in the top 3 that year? Chelsea may overtake us but there is no chance of Villa or Arsenal catching us
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

            Nope. Fifth.

My point is from being in a position of strength in the turn of the year to a position of weakness eight weeks later shows the incapabilities and awful man management from Benitez. Too much hard work, no real flair in the side. United have the right combination of flair and work rate, heck I seen Berbatov chasing a ball on Saturday. From a manager who claims to not have as much spending as United, he doesn't have spend money on crap.

Wasn't good to watch, a game that basically typified our season.

ANd Babel, what on earth happened to the guy? Can't go past anyone, if there's a decision to make he'll make the wrong one. Has talent but not suitable brain. Really disappointed by his lack of development.

The most he can expect from the lads is hard work. Is he supposed to bring in a flair guru? Perhaps his squad is not good enough?!

He looked like he didn't have enough confidence to get a cross in, two or three times he could have done it, but turned and passed backwards. Not sure whats happening there, but it appears his confidence has left the building and he needs telling that he can rip the **** out of any defence. No point ignoring it. Let him know how good he is and let him at it

He was getting in wide positions and turning back, and the ball was taken off his toe a few times. Providing no threat at all and I don't think it's the lack of playing time, he should be a perfect impact player. But he isn't.

Not really a miracle, if they have a couple of draws and we win its all game on again when we go to OT. Ifs and buts though I agree.

We should never have allowed Manu to get a look in really, and for it to be pretty much over with this many games left considering our position in December is terrible.

Still too much mediocrity in the side at the moment. If Rafa is still here for another 5 years now he has his "squad" players, and he now adds quality just as Fergie has been able too, then I have a feeling we may finally overcome them. I believe that we'll have a very good run in a couple of years when Giggs retires and Ronaldo is finally at RM, hopefully the two factors will coincide.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

So we're not good enough to beat City at home?

How about Hull or Stoke? Fulham or West Ham?

If, after 5 years, his squad isnt good enough to beat those sides at home, then he's in more trouble than i thought.
