Staunton seems a bit lost without Robson doesn't he.
wheres Milkman and his FLMAO or does he only do that for Wales?
I'm FLMAO at it and I'm Irish
Staunton is about to be mounted by Dunphy and its not going to be a pretty ride at all

Have you heard the summariser on SSN, ripping into Staunton & his team, gotta ask though, wtf is that geezer?? Peter Niell I think they said he was? What has he ever done that gives him licence to come out with statements like that?
Staunton is fair game now - I want him to just go away and replace him with Stephen Kenny - manager of Derry City

Poor result for Ireland and I feel sorry for them. Their in a tough group and to stand any chance of qualification they had to win games like that one today.

I don't think its Stauntons fault. We have a shite team, and shite players will play shite.

Can't argue with that, it's just your turn in the great cycle of things, sorry to say.
N Ireland doing well, or is the big new sport to support will be back over to Rugby Union now?
In fairness we have some good players, but too many below average players.
We've got the Czech Republic on Wednesday in Lansdowne, but the games I'm really worried about are San Marino at home in November and away in February. :crackoff:
We have some good players and some average ones. That said we were a shambles today all over the park against a team we easliy have the players to beat everyday of the week.It was Holland all over again defensively.that is down to the way the manager organises the team and tells them how to play. These same defenders barely conceeded goals during Brian Kerrs reign.People say he was too defensive and I agree to a point but when you have average players you have to stay tight first and foremost and then try nick it on the break. We could have leaked ten tonight we were that bad.

Scotland have shite players but they play together as a team. Don't under estimate the importance of a good manager.
Staunton has so far proven to be a shite manager.

Superb victory for the Cypriots but weirdly I had a feeling that they would get something out of the game. Staunton seems clueless and doesn't seem to have much charisma at all. Does anyone know why he was acually appointed in the first place? Such a poor poor decision by the Irish hierarchy.

He was appointed because he's got friends in the right places, it certainly wasn't because his success with the Walsall reserves. Allied to the fact that no decent manager wanted it and the pay was "only" €750,000 per year, we were never going to get anybody great, in saying that we still could have done better than Staunton.

At those wages at least they can afford to sack him if results don't improve.
No offence to the Irish but while Aiden McGeady plays for you I hope you get humped every time. The little shit turned his back on his country to play for you and I'll cheer everytime misfortune comes his way.
Had a good old laugh on Saturday when I saw the results and thought of him wondering what could have been.

Good to see that you're not bitter about it though McWar
Personally I'm delighted he opted to wear the Green :D

Mate in work said the very same funnily enough. He's a luxury player though. Wouldn't get a game for Scotland IMO, their a team of grafters.
Your better off leaving him where he is (not that you have any choice like).

Let me reel off some names for you: Stathis Aloneftis, Marinos Satsias, Mihalis Konstantinou, Yiannakis Okkas - I bet your band of inbred choir-singing sheep-shagging miners are having nightmares already.
Oh and Koumas wanted to play for Cyprus but was rejected before the Welsh were spunking over themselves trying to cap the ****.

What do we want?
Staunton out.
When do we want it?
Now.
the chap is un-inspirational, has no football phylosophy, is a bad speaker, looks like an idiot, and needs an advisor to be manager.
Enough said, how he impressed anyone that he was good enough to manage Ireland is bryond me. Delaney should be saked along with him.
