Why are they being so secretive? I guess it depends on what talksport means by 'done' I suppose a verbal agreement but nothing signed would qualify.

Could well be, Or they want to have a big press conference to publicly announce it for sure.

Interesting.

United will have to replace, but they wouldn't have got a fee for him.

Too me it just likes like city are seeing who we are linked to or after and bidding higher! It looks like they have singled us out as the weak link in the top 4 . So thats Bary and Tevez and they have also been linked to Silva and Alonso. I am fucking sure they are going after our targets now.

or its more the fact Arsenal and chelsea have yet to be linked with many yet?

and they needed a striker and Tevez was an obvious signing and maybe they knew Barry was alll about chasing money

Makes the fans well happy too, taking him from utd because they weren't willing/couldn't pay the price, must be satisfying for City that.

Weird one, i would have thought that there were other clubs after him anyway, long before the 'eleventh hour', so if true, this club must be one that interests him very much.

All supposition obviously, and looking at it from the stance of the rumour being correct.

The red mancs have probably convinced him to stay.

Wouldn't surprise me one little bit.

It's a win-win situation as far as I'm concerned. The Mancs get nothing if he leaves and they need to use up a significant proportion of their transfer budget if he stays. I don't think they'll stump up the cash - he's an excellent player, but I don't think they need him. I think he'd be more useful to us than them.
