The Masters Final! (and argubly the biggest decision ever seen in world football!)

Can't believe there isn't a thread on it!!! Quite possibly the most important moments in world football happened last night during the final!!

It was the grand final for the masters last night and it was being held at the Echo Arena,

Anyway - i didn't watch it all, but did catch the last 3 mins or so of the final which can only be described as historic

Somehow, Tranmere Rovers had battled themsselves to the final - against a strong Bolton Wanderers side (also tranmeres fierce rivals)

when i put it on Bolton were 3-1 up with about 3 mins remaining - just as Eddie Bishop smashed home to make it 3-2!

Next was well unbelievable - Ged Brannan smashed a shot that was blocked by David Lee, it happened quickly and the tranmere players screamed for handball, whilst david lee did his best rivaldo impression and held his face and looked for blood on his hands - As this was happening Bolton broke away and scored to make ot 4-2 and with a minute or so remaining surely they had won!

It all went off, and then in a unprecedented move, the referee stopped the game and went at watched the tv replay with the fourth offical - immediatley notcied the handball, disallowed Bolton's goal and awarded Tranmere a penalty - Bolton were going ****ing nuts, Kenny Irons doesn't miss from 12 yrds and it was 3-3!! with a minute remaining - Bolton threw the kitchen sink at tranmer for the remaining 60 seconds until a long clearance by tranmere played in Ian Muir one on one to score the winner in the dying moments and crowning Tranmere as this years British Masters Champions

    it was unbelievable scenes

          - not really arsed who won, though it was nice to see tranmere get some silverware! - what was important was the whole penalty incident and tv replay! it's the future!

i think there would have to be a major match

involving a european team and a british team

with the british team winning due to a dodgy decision

and then maybe platini or the fifa lot

would take action and bring this in.

liverpool are ****e now! - they seem to struggle to get a team together - and also, after liverpools early dominance in the tournements, the other teams started bringing younger/fitter lads (ie 36 and just retired) as opposed to say liverpool using 50 yr olds who haven't played in 20 years.

ie - bolton were the best team this year, purely because they had Richard Sneekes who was probably the fittest player there

He was a great player for Bolton back in the day when they used to be known for playing flowing football a la Arsenal. Then Fat Sam got hold of them and turned them into turgid long ball merchants.

Nah Liverpool were on tour in Norway or something, so it was ex players sons, some fella who played once in the Carling Cup etc.

I really don't remember them being that good under Todd (or even McFarland/Todd). Admittedly Rioch was always a football playing manager but wasn't he before Sneekes time?

I recall Bolton playing great football when the likes of Andy Walker was there...Owen Coyle too.

                          Under Rioch then

I was working it and apparently after Burnley Bolton match at the MEN, there was a riot and 700 arrests at masters football.

I didnt fancy Bolton losing it.

This was the Liverpool Squad this year - not quite as good as previous years, but still ok except for one or two randomers

                              Paul Jones
                              Mike Marsh
                              Mark Seagraves
                              Don Hutchison
                              Jason McAteer
                              Phil Charnock
                              Ronny Rosenthal
                              Ashley Neal
                              Stuart Whittaker
