back to goal, defender up my arse, ball gets played into feet with a bit of pace, I dink the ball one way and spin the other running onto the ball.(if I remember similar to what Edmundo did against Man Utd in the world club cup)

The thing is, are any of you actually any good at football. When I used to play Sunday league, people who did any fancy shit got completely minced.
Yep, but cos i'm fast I end up gettin whipped up by people who can't be arsed chasing me

When I were nowt but a lad anyone wearing coloured boots might as well have had a sign on their back saying "I am a student. Please break both ankles."
Seems now that every bugger thinks they're Ronaldinho. Even 16 stone carthorse centre halves turn up in red or gold boots when they can barely pass wind let alone a football.
Best bit of skill was when you'd show the attacking right winger out wide, and let him try and beat you for pace, the look on their face when you match them stride for stride and the look of horror on their face when they realise they can't wimp out of the challenge but are going to get proper mullered.
The sliding tackle that cleanly takes the ball but then follows through into the player - priceless.

I only played sunday league for a bit because it transpired that I was pretty decent as school, but garbage against actual adults, but I remember spending most of the match wanting the ball as little as possible.

I do believe that I have mastered that art. My team mates call me the bulldozer b/c I take the ball cleanly but always follow through the player.

a pass
you'd be surprised how many people can't pass :sigh:
they're all too busy fucking up trying to nutmeg people :crackoff:
Nothing worse than a player that thinks he's the bees knees and only gives hospital ball passes.

Listen, if you're not good enough to take a pass, maybe you shouldn't be on the pitch :crackoff:

Despite my size i'm the hardest tackler on my team. Fairly fast as well, used to be in my school's 4x100m relay team (sub 13secs if i remember rightly). Scything down some smart arse winger feels as good as scoring a goal in my book.
Favourite bit of skill has to be dinking it over a player and running onto it - gazza in the euros against Hendry - done right it'll leave the player you're up against looking like a proper plank.

Yup thats the one! Especially the second time you've done it - after they have the scars from the first tackle. They know its coming they can feel it coming then bang! :D
After that they don't want the ball. Victory is yours.:handshake:

It was a favourite of mine - especially if it was by the touchline near their supporters. Classic.

5 a side is different knocking a player off the ball with the shoulder is the tackle here. If your close to a wall bonus. :D
I was always coached if you can't get the ball get the man.
