    Sepp Blatter...

...how is this guy the head of FIFA, or even still in a job (if the following is true).

In the Observer in their 'Said & Done' area there is the following little piece:

Fifa news: Sepp Blatter says European fans who won't buy World Cup tickets are disrespecting Africa: "There's still this anti-African feeling in the so-called 'old world': a feeling that why the hell should South Africa have a World Cup? Colonists over the past 100 years have only gone to Africa to exploit it, to take all the best things. There's just no respect."

2007: Sepp awards exclusive rights to sell World Cup hospitality packages in South Africa to Swiss firm Match. The £342m deal means South African hotels must pay 30% of their income to Match, a firm part-owned by Zurich-based marketing group Infront. Most pleased with the deal: Infront's president and world's happiest nephew, Philippe Blatter.

... but not really a surprise though
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It most certainly is but what is even more scandalous is the fact that it was a tiny little article in one paper instead of pages in all papers.

But having said that this is what we and the media are all about these days in that we are more bothered by the fact that John Terry shagged his ex-colleagues EX-girlfriend rather than the guy who is in charge of football (allegedly) lining his or at least his own families pockets with cash

So really I should actually add that we get what we deserve in Sepp Blatter!

Sadly we live in a celebrity "culture" driven world, newspapers get more readers by discussing John Terry's sex life than writing about real news. It's also the reason why the morning news has interviews with the latest Simon Cowell karaoke singer than discussing serious issues

Why is it that most of the important people in football are morons? Blatter (FIFA), Platini (UEFA), Scudamore (Premiership) etc...

I've always hated Blatter because he's such a moron. But after having read that I really feel that FIFA should be coming out with an official statement to explain how (IF) the selection process was conducted at arms length.

The fact that they haven't means there's obviously something underhand going on. Blatter is a ****. I really feel like complaining to FIFA, but **** it, where would that get to?
                              Really?
